How we earn

Sites like this one are usually paid by bookmakers. Here's exactly how, what's live today, and what the money never touches.

The model

When a bookmaker runs an affiliate program and accepts this site into it, links to that bookmaker are replaced with tracked links, and the bookmaker pays a fixed fee for each new customer who opens an account and meets the program's conditions. That fee is the only kind we accept. We don't take, and from 1 January 2027 federal law bans, commissions based on how much a customer bets or loses; NSW already bans them.

What's live today

As of 29 September 2026, no paid link is live. None of the three bookmakers on this site has an affiliate arrangement with us: buttons on the site go to our own comparison and clause-by-clause pages, not to a bookmaker. When that changes, this page will name the bookmaker, and the link will carry the standard sponsored attribute.

What the money never touches

A fee never changes a fine-print score, a verdict, the order of anything on a page, or which clauses are quoted. Scores come from the four-criterion rubric on the method page and are set before any commercial conversation. The bookmaker with the highest score today, Sportsbet, pays us nothing.

What we don't link to

No offshore casinos or offshore bookmakers, which can't be lawfully offered to Australians. No promo codes, no offers, no bonus amounts, because NSW law bans publishing inducements and this site explains mechanics instead.

Independence

Punt Ledger isn't owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by any operator named on it. Bookmakers are described from their own published terms and help pages, with the date checked, and the text isn't shown to them before publication.
